Office Procedures and Technology

Course Description

This course provides students with an understanding of communication skills; management of time, finances, resources, and records; current and upcoming technology and its impact on the business office; human relations and how to be professional in today’s office; and job seeking skills. The dynamics of current and future office technology will be emphasized throughout the course, such as, demonstration of the use of common business machines and computer systems including: fax machine, photo copier, scanner, postage meter, etc. The course will provide knowledge in identifying electronic etiquette in relation to voice mail, e-mail, speaker phones, video and audio conference calling.

Who Needs to Attend:
Anyone who intends to enter the world of office employment for the first time or returning to work after a period of time attending to home responsibilities can register for this course.
