It includes basic anatomy and physiology with emphasis on the cardiovascular and respiratory system, as well as interpretation of basic life-threatening arrhythmias. It will teach the student to perform diagnostic procedures at the request of the physician to evaluate and diagnose patients with cardiac disease. Pre-requisites A high school diploma or its equivalent, a CPR certification and the attendance of at least one of the following healthcare courses: Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomy, LPN are required. Who Needs to Attend Anybody who is interested in starting a career in the medical services as a laboratory staff can register for this course. |
