Refund

The Refund Policy of NWIHT conforms strictly to the guidelines of the Illinois Statutes 105 ILCS 425/15.1a as amended July 24, 1998 and any future amendments to this Act.

(ILCS Chapter 105: Schools Adult and Vocational education; Act 425: private Business and Vocational Schools Act; Section 15.la: refund Policy — Rules and Regulations)

a.) When notice of cancellation is given before midnight of the fifth business date after the date of enrollment but prior to the first day of class, all application registration fees, tuition, and any other charges will be refunded by NWIHT to the students:

b.) When notice of cancellation is given after midnight of the fifth business day following acceptance but prior to the close of business in the student’s first day of class attendance, NWIHT will retain only the application-registration fee that will not exceed $150 or 50% of the cost of tuition, whichever is less;

c.) When the notice of cancellation is given after the student’s completion of the first day of class attendance, but prior to the student’s completion of 5% of the course of instruction (calculated in the clock contact hours) NWIHT will retain the application-registration fee that will not exceed 10% of the tuition and other instructional charges or $300 whichever is less, subject to the following limitation: any book and materials fee will be refunded when (a)the book/s and materials are returned to NWIHT unmarked and (b)the students has provided NWIHT with notice of cancellation;

d.) When a student has completed in excess of 5% of the course of instruction (calculated in clock contact hours) NWIHT will retain the application- registration fee but will refund a part of the tuition and other instructional charges as follows in below:

e.) NWIHT will retain the amount of the tuition and instructional charges computed prorated by days in class (calculated in clock contact hours) plus 10% of tuition and other instructional charges up to completion of 60% of the course of instruction (calculated in clock contact hours). When the student had completed in excess of 60% of the course of the instruction, NWIHT will retain the application-registration fee and the entire tuition and other charges;

f.) The refund policy for short courses up to 20 clock hours will be refunded prorated up to 60% completion of the course (calculated in clock contact hours).
A student who on personal initiative and without solicitation enrolls, starts, and completes a course of instruction before midnight of the fifth business day after the enrollment agreement is signed, is not subject to the cancellation provisions above.

Applicants not accepted by NWIHT will receive a refund of all tuition and fees paid within 30 calendar days of determination of non-acceptance are made.

The application-registration fees are chargeable at initial enrollment and will not exceed $150 or 50% of the cost of tuition, whichever is less.

Deposits or down payments become part of the tuition.

NWIHT will mail a written acknowledgement of a student’s cancellation or written withdrawal to the students within 15 calendar days of the postmark date of notification unless a refund has been mailed to the student within the 15 calendar days.

All NWIHT students’ refunds will be made within 30 calendar days from the date of the receipt of the student’s cancellation.

NWIHT will refund all monies paid to it in any of the following circumstances.
NWIHT did not provide the prospective student with a copy of the student’s valid enrollment agreement and a current catalog;
NWIHT cancels or discontinues the course of instruction in which the students has enrolled;
NWIHT fails to conduct classes on days or times scheduled, detrimentally affecting the student.

STUDENT’S RIGHT TO CANCEL

A student has a right to cancel this contract until the student signs midnight of the 5 business day after this contract and the school accepts the student.
Notice of cancellation shall be made in writing to the President of the Training Center (school’s address, zip code, and phone no.)

COMPLAINTS
COMPLAINTS AGAINST THE SCHOOL MAY BE REGISTERED WITH THE
ILLINOIS STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION BY SENDING A LETTER TO;
